Anand Sharma

Anand earned his PhD from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad (2012–2019), where he studied the biochemical regulation, biophysical organization, and cellular roles of calcium sensor proteins in neuroendocrine cells, particularly the β-cell–enriched Ca²⁺ sensor, Secretagogin. In 2019, he joined the laboratory of translational nutrition biology (led by Prof. Christian Wolfrum) at ETH Zurich as a postdoctoral researcher. He is currently a Senior Scientist at ETH Zurich, investigating the mechanistic and functional aspects of futile lipid cycling. Anand has been invited to speak at international scientific forums and serves as a peer reviewer for leading journals. Know more about him via ORCID: 0000-0001-7532-5983.
